Sustainable Water Bottle Promotion 2/1 & 2/2/16
January 25, 2016
TO: The College Community
FROM: Nicholas Palumbo, Executive Director College Sustainability Programs
SUBJECT: Sustainable Water Bottle Promotion
The Office of Sustainability Programs at Suffolk County Community College is currently promoting the use of reusable water bottles to the college community. In partnership with our Follett campus bookstores, sales of refillable drink containers and mugs purchased on February 1st or 2nd, will qualify to receive a 20% discount on the price of the sustainable water bottle. In addition, anyone who then uses their sustainable water bottle at an Aramark dining location or at the Eastern Campus Peconic Café, will only be asked to pay the price of a small beverage in order to fill their container—no matter what size.
We hope you will participate in this latest sustainability promotion and encourage our students to do so as well, since the use of refillable water bottles helps save our environment. You will be interested to learn that through the use of the bottle refilling stations that are available on our campuses, the students, faculty, alumni and staff of Suffolk County Community College have already helped eliminate tens of thousands of plastic bottles from being disposed of in area landfills.
